Craig Boddington
Craig Boddington was born and raised in Kansas, where his early big-game experience, in the mid-1960s, included pronghorn and mule deer in Wyoming, whitetail and mule deer in Kansas, and mule deer in Colorado. When not involved with hunting and shooting, much of his early years were spent in Boy Scout activities.
A member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity, he attended the University of Kansas on an NROTC scholarship, graduating with an English degree and a regular commission in the United States Marine Corps. His outdoor writing career began in college and continued while on active duty. In 1979, he joined Petersen Publishing Company, where he served as Associate Editor, Guns & Ammo magazine; Editor, Guns & Ammo Specialty Publications; Executive Editor, Petersen’s Hunting magazine; and from 1983 to 1994 Editor of Petersen’s Hunting magazine. His current position with OSG is Executive Field Editor, including Guns & Ammo, Petersen’s Hunting, and RifleShooter. He has been a co-host on Guns & Ammo TV since its inception.
David Draper
An avid hunter and accomplished writer, David Draper has traveled the globe in search of good stories and good food, yet his roots remain firmly planted in the soil of his family’s farm on the High Plains of Nebraska. As a young man, his dreams were fueled by daily trips to the original Cabela’s retail store, which stood a short four blocks from his childhood home. The ensuing years spent chasing his passions for adventure and the outdoors have taken him from the shores of Africa’s Gambia River to Alaska’s Brooks Range. He has hunted birds and big-game on five of the seven continents.
A 20-year industry veteran, Draper has worked in communications, writing and editing roles for the biggest names in the industry. In addition to bylines in scores of publications, he also served as the editor for the hunting journals of Dick and Mary Cabela and contributed to several books on the outdoors. Draper is Editor-in-Chief of Petersen’s Hunting magazine, where he also writes the Fare Game column covering all aspects of processing and cooking wild game.
Kali Parmley
Kali Parmley is the Editor-in-Chief of GUN DOG magazine and Backcountry Hunter magazine. Growing up in rural Ohio, Kali was an avid outdoor enthusiast, spending countless hours in the saddle camping along the trail with her horse, and watching her grandfather raise and train English Setters. In her early 20s, she furthered her love of the outdoors and began her hunting career.
Kali has become an avid big game and bird hunter, focusing on do-it-yourself hunts on public land. After training her own Labrador Retriever, Lincoln, and Setter, Jones, to hunt birds alongside her, Kali now travels across the United States doing what she loves: chasing wild animals in wild places.
